  • Qiu Fazu

    He is the famous surgeon, professor, doctoral supervisor, senior academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, national committee of the third CPPCC, and NPC member of the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh National People’s Congress. He was engaged in surgical treatment, teaching and scientific research for over 60 years and published more than 200 medical papers. More than 40 medical books were issued under his general editorship. He was the sponsor and organizer of Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation and Chinese Journal of Experimental Royalty, actively organized National Service Department Surgery Righteousness, the Ninth National Surgery Conference, and the First National Conference on Organ Transplantation. In 1993, he was elected as academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was with accurate surgical technology, which was regarded as “Qiu’s technology”in medical field. In 2004, academician Qiu Fazu was awarded the honorable title of “people’s medical scientists”by Hubei Provincial Government at his 90th birthday and for celebrating medical treatment of 65 years.


  • Wang Zhengguo

    Academician Wang Zhenguo was born in Zhangzhou city, Fujian Province, in December 1935. Wang Zhengguo graduated from China Medical University in 1956, and visited University of Pennsylvania as a visiting scholar from 1982 to 1983. After returning home, he acted as researcher and director of Institute of Field Surgery, PLA Third Military Medical University. He was elected to the academician in Chinese Academy of Engineering in December 1994.


    Professor Wang Zhengguo is the academic leader of Field Surgery, Chinese key discipline, the first doctoral tutor, and one of the main founders in Wound Ballistics and Traffic Accident Injuries. He won a first-prize in National Science and Technology Progress Award, three third-prize in National Science and Technology Progress Award, a third-prize in National Invention Award, four first-prize in Science and Technology Progress Award of Army and 12 second-prize in Science and Technology Progress Award of Army. In 1990, he won the honorary title of Young and Middle-aged Expert Making Outstanding Contribution to China by State Personnel Department; in 1996, he won the prize of Professional Skill Contribution to the Army; in 1997, he received the Science and Technology Awards of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation; in 1998, he received the 15th “Michael Di Beike International Medical Award”, and became the first Asian receiving this prize since its establishment. In 1999, Chinese President Jiang Zemin personally signed the order to award academician Wang Zhengguo the first-class merit.

    Sheng Zhiyong, male, Han nationality, member of Communist Party of China, was surgical experts on trauma and burns, the first grade professor and doctoral supervisor. He was born on July 1, 1920. In 1942, he graduated from National Shanghai Medical College. In 1947, he took research and studies for a year in School of Medicine, American Texas State University. He served as surgeon and visiting staff in Shanghai Red Cross First Hospital (now Huashan Hospital) and Zhongshan Hospital; vice director and associate researcher in Department of Experimental Surgery, Academy of Military Medical Sciences; director and chief physician in Traumatology Department and Burn Surgery, PLA General Hospital; surgical professor in PLA College of Further Education; vice president, director of Traumatic Center and Burn Institute Director in PLA 304th Hospital. In 1996, he was elected as academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. 


    Now, he is served as team leader in Clinical Department, PLA General Hospital, honorary director of Institute of Burns, director of Editorial Board of PLA Medical Journal, editorial board member and deputy director of Chinese Journal of Critical Care Medicine, editorial board member ofJournal of Burns, Official Newspaper of International Burns Institution, senior member of International Burns Institution, honorary member of American and Canada Trauma Institution, and honorary member of Israel Burns Institution. He made deeply research on mechanisms and preventive measures of burn sepsis and multiple organ dysfunction syndromes, to reduce the incidence and mortality. The total cure rate of burn was up to 98%, and reached the international advanced level. He led the study on low-temperature stored skin, and established the first liquid nitrogen stored allogeneic skin bank in China. He earned two first prizes and seven second and third prizes of National Science and Technology Progress, 23 scientific and technological researches earned first and second prizes of Military Science and Technology Progress, and there were other 24 prizes. There were 27 academic monographs were issued under his editorship. He also published over 880 academic papers.In 1991, he enjoyed special government allowance, got second- and third-class merits for 3 times, and won “eighth-five” and “ninth-five” Military Logistics Science and Technology Progress; in 1996, he won the Army’s First Major Contribution Prize in Professional Technology, and earned “a generation of top teacher” issued by General Logistics Department. In 1999, he received the Science and Technology Awards of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation. In 2000, he was awarded the first-class merit and earned Talent Scout Prize for Culturing Outstanding Scientific and Technological Personnel issued by General Logistics Department.

He acted as Guest Researcher in American Mayo Medical Center and Postgraduate College from 1983 to 1984, and Visiting Professor in American University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1989. He originally served as President and Director of Orthopaedics Department in Shanghai Second Medical University Affiliated Ninth People's Hospital, Dean of Clinical Medical College, Shanghai Second Medical University Affiliated Ninth People's Hospital, and now is Director of Shanghai Clinical Medical Center of Joint Surgery, Director of Bone and Joint Research Center, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Director of Digital Medical Engineering Center, Ministry of Education, Associate Director of Academic Committee and Director of Biomedical Department in Shanghai Jiaotong University, Director of Transformation Base of Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine in Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Head of Rehabilitation Engineering Institution, Shanghai Jiaotong University.


    He has elected to be President, Deputy President, Secretary-general and Member of Councilof World Chinese Orthopaedic Association, Asia-Pacific Institute of Artificial Joints, International Association of Fixation (AO), International Institution of Multidisciplinary Biological Materials, World Chinese Institution of Orthopaedics and many other international academic organizations, and Member of Council, Chairman and Vice Chairman of over 30 domestic academic communities, including Chinese Medical Association, Chinese Orthopaedic Association, Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, Specialized Committee of Biomechanics in Chinese Society of Mechanics, Shanghai Committee of Rehabilitation Medical Engineering and Shanghai Council of Prosthesis Medical Engineering. He is the only Chinese communication member of American Orthopaedics Association (be elected in 2000), and the only Chinese and the third Asia official member of Hip International Society (be elected in 1996). In 2002, he got the title of honorary doctorate of University of Mediterranean in France approved by French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Health, and is the only Asian having this award. In 2007, he also won the honorary title of Raine visiting scholar in University of Western Australia. He also acted as Chief Editor, Associate Editor or Editorial Board Member of over 30 journals, including Medical Biomechanics, Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics, Chinese Journal of Trauma (English Version), Clinical Orthopaedics, Chinese Journal of Bone Loose, China Joint Surgery, and Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery. For its outstanding achievements in the field of artificial joint, hip injuries, osteoporosis, shape memory alloy products and clinical applications, he has won nearly 40 science and technology award, including second-class prize of National Invention, second-class and third-class of National Scientific and Technological Progress, first-, second- and third- class prizes issued by State Education Commission, Ministry of Health and those of Shanghai Scientific and Technological Progress; he got over 20 patents, and took charge of over 30 projects, including National Natural Science Foundation, National 973 project and the projects approved by State Science and Technology Commission, Education Commission, Ministry of Health, and Shanghai cooperative projects and international cooperative projects.


    Professor Dai Kerong has got 20 honorary titles and awards, including National Health Advanced Worker by the Ministry of Health, National Outstanding Returned Overseas Students in Health System, National Youth Experts with Outstanding Contribution, National Advanced Science and Technology Worker in Colleges and Universities, Shanghai Overseas Outstanding Intellectuals, First Hu Chunan Overseas Intellectual Excellence, First Inventor in Shanghai, Outstanding Chinese Visiting Scholar in Hongkong in 1997, Shanghai Medical Honor Award, Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation for Scientific and Technological Progress Award, Shanghai Science and Technology Hero Award, Shanghai Advanced Individuals of Health System, President Award of Shanghai Jiaotong University, National Advanced Medical and Health Individuals for Earthquake Relief, Advanced Individual of Chinese Association of Science, and Advanced Individual for Earthquake Relief in Shanghai.

  • Fu Xiaobing


      The academician Fu Xiaobing was born in Ziyang Sichuan on August 1960. He was graduated from the Third Military Medical University in 1983, and the doctor in University of Madrid. Now, he is the Director of Basic Medical Institution in PLA General Hospital, and Professor, Doctoral Supervisor and Director of Traumatology Department in the First Hospital Affiliated to PLA General Hospital. He is employed as the Professor by Nankai University and other domestic famous universities in a total of six. He holds the post of Executive Committee Member of World Wound Healing Union, Chairman of Committee of Chinese Trauma Society and other academic positions. He is awarded the First National Outstanding Young Scientists Star, Science and Technology Venus of General Logistics Department, Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation for Scientific and Technological Progress Award, Outstanding Youth Award of Truth Seeking, Guanghua Youth Award of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Outstanding Professional and Technical Personnel Award of PLA, and International Outstanding Achievement Award of Trauma Healing. He was elected to the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in December 2009.


     Academician Fu Xiaobing has long engaged in basic research and clinical study on trauma (burn and war wound). His research fields involves in wound ballistics, wound healing and tissue regeneration, mechanism and preventive treatment of multiple organ injury induced by severe trauma, and biology of growth factor. He has won 26 foundations, including National “863” Project, “973” Project, National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation and National Natural Science Foundation. There were 7 academic monographs were issued under his editorship. He also published over 280 academic papers. He has got 18 awards, including National Invention Award, National Science and Technology Progress Award, and First- and Second-class Military Scientific and Technological Progress. He is also awarded “First National Hundred Outstanding Young Medical Technology Star”, “Outstanding Youth” Award of Truth Seeking, Guanghua Youth Award, “Ten Outstanding Young of General Logistic Department”, and “Science and Technology Venus of General Logistics Department”. He also got four times of first-, second -and third-class merits.

Now he mainly studies on issues of “equity accounting”.

    Wang Huiqi, male, Han Nationality, and was born in Shenyang, Liaoning.
